We Are Shristi

We came into existence in 1995 to fulfil the need for a centre where children with with developmental and learning disabilities could be managed holistically. For more than two decades now, we have contributed in a significant way, to the process of learning and striving towards excellence in the field of management of learning and developmental difficulties. Slowly and steadily, it has grown from a centre to become a training institute of repute for the development of human resources in the field of disability. Shristi is not just about educating the differently abled. Our centres provide early detection and intervention for children with learning difficulties. In the intervention process, the children receive education to enhance their academic skills, remedial teaching, therapeutic support, career guidance and vocational training to ultimately become self-supporting. Our services are in tune with our objectives of solving the riddle of learning disability holistically.

As per the latest statistics, there are about 10-15 % of all school-going children have some form of learning difficulty like ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), learning disabilities, Autism, Asperger Syndrome and others. To bridge this gap, Shristi started supporting public schools to carry forward their inclusive programs as per PWD/ RPWD Act by establishing resource rooms and developing training modules for teachers and parents.
